A Gift in Memory of Alex
Catching up on stuff that got lost in the holiday shuffle, I discovered that my post about Alex’s Lemonade Stand was a winner in Babylune blogger Kate Baggott’s Generous December Group Writing Project. As a result, Kate donated $20 to the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. I’m deeply appreciative of Kate’s generosity, not only in her gift to the foundation but also in ceding so much of her online space to allow her readers to talk about the charities they support and why.
And I remain in awe of the late Alex Scott’s towering courage in the face of her own mortality. No one that young should have to go through what she did, yet because of her, the world is a better place. What a fitting legacy for a true hero. | 501(c)
