Nonprofit CEOs Saw Cost-of-Living Raises, But Little Else, in 2007, and 2008 Could Be Even Worse
The good news for nonprofit CEOs is that their salaries continue to rise, according to a new survey.
The bad news is that the survey is of 2007 salaries.
As belt-tightening continues, it’ll be very interesting to see whether 2008 bring a similar rise as 2007’s 2.55 percent increase over the previous year. My hunch is no. In addition to this year’s crappy economic climate, there’s been increasing backlash over the issue of CEOs’ salaries. If I had to guess, I’d say that combination would put a damper on executive paychecks. Check back in 12 months. | 501(c)
